Content and Media Sharing Setting

Introduction

As part of permission and access management, Nimvio provides you with the content and media sharing setting. By using this feature, you can allow specific users or roles to work with all content and media or only the ones assigned to them. You can also make all content and media visible or have them restricted to specific users or roles.

Besides the permission and access management at the organization and project level, the content and media sharing setting will help you to customize the permission and access to the level of content and media. Thus, it will cover all the complexities and fit your organization's needs.

Content Sharing Setting

Follow these steps to update permission and access at the content level.

1. On your Project Dashboard, switch to the Content tab.

4. Once added, you can update the permissions granted for the user or role by clicking on the color indicators in the respective row and column. See the table below for the actions you can do.

 Action

Description

Allow This action gives a user access to the item.
Inherited This action gives a user access based on the parent item permission. If the parent item permission (e.g. Content Management) is also "Inherited" then it will inherit the permission from the higher parent level (e.g. Project Management).
Deny This action forbids a user from accessing the item.

Note:

  • "Deny" will override "Allow" if there is conflicting permission in the same level and entity.
  • If the user doesn't set up the content permission then "Inherited" will be given as the default value.

5. Click on the Save button to save your changes.
